Work The projects showcased here are outcomes of collaborative efforts, combining diverse skills and perspectives. ๐
Gig Economy
Visually represent the impact of the gig economy, Reuters commissioned a series of illustrations featuring a key banner, animated social media content, portrait illustrations of interviewed workers, shareable interview excerpts, and information design of key facts.
UPR Factsheet
A simple design solution to support digital rights advocates, policy makers and civil society organisations to lobby at the Universal Periodic Review using country specific starter packs.
Ranking digital Rights
I worked as an in-house designer with a team of researchers to create several information graphics, illustrations and typeset this report that detailed the digital rights landscape in Iran. The report also had a โscorecardโ for messaging apps, scoring them on their terms and conditions and privacy.
Iran Votes 2017
This report consolidates research and data about the Iranian elections in 2017. It was a finalist in the 2018 Illustration Awards and was featured in the World Illustration Awards exhibition at Somerset House, London.
Paradise Lost
This report delves into the critical role of environmental activists in Iran, specifically addressing the escalating water crisis. A visually striking document with a stark black and white design, punctuated by bold gold accents. A limited edition of this report was printed on recycled paper with a semi-transparent dust jacket, emphasising the project's commitment to sustainability.
Picked by slaves
These mixed-media illustrations were created for the Thomson Reuters Foundation and their modern slavery editorial team. They accompany a multimedia story published on their website and shared across their social media platforms. The peice follows labour inspectors as they drive rescue workers from slavery on two sprawling plantations in southeastern Brazil as the coffee harvest draws to a close. The illustrations enhance the narrative and provide visual context and depth to the story.
Voices of Partition
These illustrations were created for the British Library as part of the "Unlocking Our Sound Heritage" project. I developed 18 distinct illustrations and one overarching homepage image to unify the digital learning resources made up of the library's sound archives. The project, dedicated to the Partition in India, features audio and visual archive material alongside research.
